Brandon started working with my son two years ago. My son had been lifting for about a year and wanted to start powerlifting. We started working with Brandon in February for a meet in June. During this time, Brandon worked with my son on his form, tips to improve his lifts, and how to prepare for a meet. This resulted in my son setting state records for bench, squat, deadlift, and total. He continued to work with my son with constant feedback. To be honest you are the best trainer I had. From the beginning of the year in March I came to you with help and you set a blueprint and a goal to achieve and ever since, I’ve been getting the ultimate results. Working with you was the best thing for me! You helped me perfect a lot of movements that I never knew I was doing wrong and helped me understand why I always felt a little pain in certain areas where I shouldn’t be feeling like that. Also, I liked whenever I had a question about how to do an exercise you got back to me as quick as you can and always communicated with me about it. Training with Brandon for me was about getting my life and training back on track to move both in the right direction. I started out decently strong in all 3 lifts (probably about a 1400 total). If I hit all my best numbers now I would total over 1600 in the same weight class (220). I would say given my experience alot of what I needed was a plan and preventing myself from maxing out too often.
I trusted the program Brandon has put me on and am still close to a 700 lb deadlift (have hit 7 plates clean). My bench has finally gotten to 400 which before training with him I never even hit 365 what I would consider clean. I have hit a 530 squat which is low compared to my other lifts but I have not trained the lift as well and often as I should have.
I probably need less day to day interaction
than most clients but Brandon has always been there to call me on my shortcomings and one that has helped me more than anything is warming up for deadlifts with medicine ball deadbugs. He caught me not doing them and once I started properly warming up my core I broke through my previous 615 plateau and moved up to 675 in a period of 6 months.
I'd highly recommend him to anyone at any level of training, especially those who want a brutally honest trainer who will have a great plan for them and is willing to listen the more experienced you get about what lifts will help you through your plateaus. More than once we have bounced ideas off each other about my training and have always come up with the best solution for my weak points. The success I've had in the gym has also lead me to 2 huge promotions and a job offer out of state which I accepted and has moved my career in the righr direction.
Whenever I've had success in the gym my life has always moved in the same direction and I can definitely tell you my training has given me the mental discipline and confidence to conquer all aspects of life. I'm looking for ward to finally hitting that 700 lb deadlift and continuing to add to my total.woth Brandon in the coming years.
